We are a trust who recognise our strengths but also have the humility to acknowledge that we don’t have all the answers.  We know the key to continual improvement is being open to new ideas and a willingness to share with and learn from others.  Our belief is that by working together we are stronger as one entity.  Therefore, we want to work with others in partnership and learn from each other through healthy challenge and collaboration.  We don’t want to be an “island” but a growing “continent” where our networks support collaboration and yet each school (“country”) has its own characteristics and strengths.  What we don’t want is to all be the same as we see replication as a form of stagnation which crushes innovation and hinders creativity.

Our culture and ethos are our non-negotiables because we truly believe in inclusion, belonging and aspiration, not as empty words on our website but as descriptors of how we do things around here!  In its simplest terms, Illuminate Minds Trust is an organisation where consistent systems, a shared commitment to our ambitions and a framework of practices support staff at every level to do their best job every day in an environment where ambition for all, holistic provision and innovation are continuously promoted.
